Septic repair cost-share program
Do you have an aging or failing Septic System?
Limestone Valley has partnered with County Environmental Health Departments and Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) to offer assistance to homeowners in repairing aging and failing septic systems.
Current qualifying areas (see map below):
Upper Oostanaula River (Whitfield, Gordon, Walker Counties)
Chattanooga Creek (Dade and Walker Counties)
What is it?
We’re partnering with county environmental health departments to offer septic repair cost share programs.
Eligible homeowners may be reimbursed for a percentage of upcoming septic repair costs.
Who is eligible?
You may be eligible if…
you live in a qualifying area (check your address below), and
your septic system is in need of repair or replacement, and,
your project be completed according to all applicable local and state regulations (permitted repair)
Why are we doing this?
Repairing failing septic systems reduces the levels of fecal coliform, pathogens, and E. coli in our local waterways. This improves water quality for humans and wildlife throughout Northwest Georgia.
